Four injured in New Year’s Day head on crash

(WORTH TOWNSHIP) — Slick roads on New Year’s Day resulted in a head on crash that injured four people in Sanilac County’s Worth Township. According to Sanilac County Sheriff’s deputies, an SUV driven by a 45-year-old Novi woman was traveling north on M-25 near Elm Road when she lost control on the slippery roadway and entered the path of a pickup driven by a 62-year-old Deckerville man, causing the collision. The Novi woman and her passenger, a 53-year-old Troy woman, as well as the Deckerville man and his passenger, a 60-year-old Deckerville woman, were all transported to McLaren Port Huron Hospital by Croswell EMS for treatment. Police say all involved were wearing their seatbelts and alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
