80th Annual Sanilac County Dairy Banquet: A Celebration of Dairy set for January 16

(DECKERVILLE) — This year’s 80th annual Sanilac County Dairy Banquet will be held Saturday, January 16 at the Mi-Dahs Well Banquet Hall in Deckerville. The event is held to celebrate the accomplishments of one of Sanilac County’s most important industries. In 2012, the Sanilac County dairy industry generated nearly $140 million in gross revenue that circulated through the local economy. The accomplishments of individual farmers and dairy farms will be honored, as well as the winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award. Doors will open at 7 pm. with dinner served around 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, January 16. Tickets are $12 per person, $6 for children under 10 if purchased in advance or $15 per person at the door and are available at the Sanilac County Michigan State University Extension Office at 171 Dawson Street in Sandusky or from a dairy banquet committee member.
