Juvenile arrested for selling fake cocaine

(PORT HURON TOWNSHIP) — Authorities in St. Clair County arrested a 13-year old boy Wednesday for selling fake cocaine. Drug Task Force officers were conducting an undercover drug buy late Wednesday night in the 2000 block of Water Street in Port Huron Township. The purchase was made and a field test showed the drugs sold by the 13-year old boy tested negative for cocaine. The value of the powder sold, if it had been cocaine, was $1,000. The teen was taken into custody and taken to his parents home. They gave officers consent to search their home and no illegal drugs were found. The boy was turned over to the St. Clair County Juvenile Center and remains lodged in Macomb County’s Juvenile Detention facility. He is expected to face a charge of possession with intent to deliver counterfeit cocaine.
