Student responsible for bomb threat at Marlette Schools located

(MARLETTE) — The Marlette Police Department says they have located the student responsible for Tuesday’s bomb threat at the Marlette Jr./Sr. High School building. A joint investigation was conducted by district administration and police after a note was received by the high school office at 10:30 a.m. regarding the alleged bomb threat. Students were then quickly evacuated from the school building. Hallway surveillance video and several names of students who had entered a restroom prior to the note being found and turned into the office, helped with the investigation. After several interviews, the suspect student was confronted with the information and admitted to the threat. The investigation is still ongoing and a report will be forwarded to the Sanilac County Prosecutors office.
