Pink Out for Cancer Clash Celebrates Success

(MARLETTE) — Representatives of the 2015 “Pink Out for Cancer Clash” committee recently presented a check for over $20,000 to Marlette Regional Hospital. The money was raised during a successful rivalry football game fundraiser between Marlette and Brown City Schools in September. The “Pink Out for Cancer Clash” was organized to raise awareness of cancer. Proceeds raised from t-shirt sales and a portion of the tailgate party proceeds will benefit the B.C.U.P.S. program at Marlette Regional Hospital, which provides free mammogram screenings for uninsured and underinsured patients in the Thumb. Hospital CEO Dan Babcock accepted the generous donation from committee members Sara Redman, Kendra Jickling, Kasey Trudeau, and Steve Kohler.
