(MARLETTE) — Firefighters from Marlette and Brown City fire departments battled a house fire just south of Marlette late Tuesday night and into the early morning hours of Wednesday. When firefighters arrived at 4708 Montgomery Road around 11:15 Tuesday night, about half of the single story home was engulfed in flames. Nobody was home at the time of the blaze and no injuries were reported. The fire resulted in a total loss of the home. Elk and Lamotte township fire departments assisted in battling the blaze. Firefighters didn’t clear the scene until about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
