Carsonville woman injured in crash; alcohol suspected

(LEXINGTON TOWNSHIP) — A 40-year old Carsonville woman was injured in a single vehicle crash Wednesday evening after crashing into a guardrail in Lexington Township. Sanilac County Sheriff’s deputies say the woman had been traveling south on M-25 near Aiken Road around 7 p.m. when she lost control of her vehicle and struck the east side guardrail. The Carsonville woman, who was the lone occupant, was transported by Croswell EMS to McKenzie Health System and treated for non-life threatening injuries. Deputies say the woman was wearing a seat belt and alcohol appears to have been a factor in the crash. The woman’s name is not being released at this time as the crash remains under investigation.
