(BAD AXE) — Bad Axe Police Chief Dave Rothe says his department has handled several complaints involving counterfeit money in the city and Huron County area. Counterfeit bills include $10’s, $20’s, $50’s, and $100 bills. The bills are being passed at a local arts and crafts venue and small businesses including convenience stores and restaurants. Anyone that suspects that they have received a counterfeit bill is asked to contact Huron County authorities.
