(CARO) — The Michigan State Police Caro Post will host an informal gathering to discuss community issues and build relationships during “Coffee with a Cop” Tuesday, November 10 at 10 a.m. at the Big Boy restaurant in Caro. A majority of the contact law enforcement has with the public occurs during emergencies or emotional situations. The gathering breaks down those barriers and allows for a relaxed, one-on-one interaction. Trooper Mark Swales says he hopes that community members will feel comfortable to ask questions, bring concerns, or get to know troopers better. The gathering is also an opportunity for residents to meet new Post Commander F/Lt. Todd Mapes.
