CPS School Board fills vacancy

(CARSONVILLE-PORT SANILAC) — The Carsonville-Port Sanilac School Board Monday night appointed Port Sanilac resident Raymond Miller to the open trustee position, replacing Marvin Steeb. Miller has lived in Port Sanilac for the last 6-years and is a retired school teacher with over 30-years of classroom experience. He has taught elementary, special education and high school special education students and Industrial Arts. He retired from the Midland Public Schools and then taught an additional 6-years in Alaska. Miller served as a MEA Representative, part of the contract negotiating team, and also coached baseball and football for many years. The CPS School Board will meet next on Thursday, November 12 at 8 p.m.
