Moore & Greenleaf Twp. voters head to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 3

(MOORE TOWNSHIP) — Moore Township voters will head to the polls today to cast their ballot either for or against the township’s wind energy ordinance. The ordinance, adopted in May by the Moore Township Board, would allow the development of utility grid wind energy systems after special approval in the agricultural residential zoning district in Moore Township. Opposition to the ordinance prompted a petition drive that led to the issue being placed on today’s ballot. Extensive campaigns for and against the wind energy projects have been ongoing for several months.

In Greenleaf Township, a recall vote is being held against trustees Randall Schuette and Ken Brown. Schuette is facing opposition from Kim Toner and Brown will face off against Ronald Brzuchowski. The winners of today’s recall will fill a partial term until November 20, 2016.
