MDOT announces the completion of the I-94/I-69 interchange project

(PORT HURON) — A gathering will be held next week to mark the completion of a 2-year project to reconstruct the I-94/I-69 interchange in St. Clair County. State Transportation Director Kirk Steudle will be joined by local community leaders, MDOT staff, contractors, and residents on Monday, October 26 from 10-11 a.m. at the Port Huron Welcome Center west of the Lapeer Connector in Port Huron Township. MDOT re-engineered the interchange, removed and rebuilt six freeway ramps and seven bridges, moved a million yards of dirt, and used 7 million pounds of steel beams to create a safer interchange with fewer crashes and reduced delays. The public is welcome to attend the ceremony.
