(HURON TOWNSHIP) — One person was killed and second received minor injuries in a two-car crash around 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon in Huron County’s Huron Township. Sheriff Kelly Hanson says 56-year-old Dinah Emerick of Port Hope was traveling north on Minden Road when she failed to yield to a vehicle traveling west on Moeller Road, driven by 58-year-old Robert Koglin of Port Hope. Emerick was extracted from her vehicle by the Harbor Beach Fire Department then flown by Flightcare to a Saginaw hospital where she died several hours later. Koglin sought his own treatment. Both drivers were alone in their vehicles. An autopsy on Dinah Emerick is scheduled for Monday. The crash remains under investigation.
